provided to local, county and state agencies for the sole purpose of this Petition.  
WHEREAS, I am a resident within the Town of Brookhaven, County of Suffolk, State of New York, and hereby oppose the Town of
Brookhaven's desire to maximize the DEC Composting Permit at the Papermill Road Facility in Manorville; and,

WHEREAS, it is our belief that the odors emanating from composting sites negatively impact our quality of life, and constitute a
nuisance and hazard to the health, safety, and property of the residents of the Town of Brookhaven, County of Suffolk, State of
New York;

WHEREAS, the increase in truck traffic will be detrimental to the safety of the public,especially our children while playing in
areas normally deemed safe and appropriate for children, not limited to, but including,  their school bus stops;

WHEREAS; the diesel fumes released from tractor trailers and heavy equipment are known carcinogens;

WHEREAS, the noise pollution which results from running a commercial composting facility in a residential area will devalue
our homes;

NOW, THEREFORE, the above mentioned urgently requests and demands that the Town Board of the Town of Brookhaven,
County of Suffolk, State of New York, abate the proposal to utilize their DEC Permit to further expand the composting operations
at the Papermill Road Facility in the Town of Manorville, County of Suffolk, State of New York.   My present place of residence is
truly stated above.
